Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and discovered her love of sprinting while in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Ten weeks after the first trial she took the sport, she finished second in 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and signed an official contract to Adidas. In the year 2004, she began her studies at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. She was the youngest world champion in the 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked within the top three athletes in each of her events.
